Welcome and About the WCWG and How to Join

Founded October 2011, in Walnut Creek, California.

The mission of the Walnut Creek Writers Guild is to provide honest and supportive feedback to its members on our story submissions, with the end goal of improving and publishing our writing. We are committed to diversity in our membership and in our writing.

The Guild meets once a month, usually at the Walnut Creek Library, but on ZOOM during the pandemic. We also hold two retreats per year, generally with a guest speaker and workshop.  We are active in community events, such as public readings, and offering workshops.

We have now published our second anthology, Chord & Discord and have posted excerpts here on our site. Our first anthology, The View from Here, is available from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Goodreads, and other bookstores, in paperback and e-book formats.

Please feel free to leave any questions or comments on anything pertaining to the Guild in the comments section of this site, or by dropping us a line at wcwritersguild@gmail.com.
